- AGED IN AMERICAN OAK -
Rich and smooth with a long sweet finish that pleasantly lingers with just a touch of spicy heat.

The Distillery History
The luck of the Irish has nothing to do with how good Great Wagon Road’s spirits are. That’s all skill, recipes, and adhering to the proven methods established by distillers that came long before.

Our passion for distilling hails from a long history of whiskey makers who paid the price for us to get to do it freely.
THE WATER
Always the purest and as a labor of love, Ollie insists on using water sourced from exceptionally pure artisanal spring water straight off the Blue Ridge Mountains from Yancey Co. North Carolina.
Ollie is known to go up as much as twice a month to retrieve the water from the spring catchment system on his mountain property.
GWR NODA
Our 15000 sq. ft. distillery space in Noda offers visitors the choice of indoor or outdoor areas. From the tasting room, guests can view the distillery process in action. The outdoor patio will eventually have a fire pit for friends to relax and enjoy the fall weather. GWR nods to its original location in many places throughout the new space, including the bar top, leather furniture, and lighting from the Southside Drive location... and don't forget the telephone booth, which is now located right outside the main entrance so every guest can experience it on their way in.
